I have NEVER sat in front of the TV for 8 hours staiight. Today I watched "Everest" on the Discovery Channel..from around 9:30 this morning..I'm not sure.. t'il 5:00 PM this afternoon. Fabulously Done.
It's about.. individuals who descide they are willing to spend $42,000. + Air-fair and what ever, to attempt to climb Mt. Everest. Discovery Ch. sent cameras to film the 2007 "Expedition". TOUR Companys provide the support. Each climber has a professional "Tour Guide", whom DSC provided helmut mounted cameras.
Willing individuals are followed through their whole experience.. something like 45+ days. This makes it personal.. and I think makes the story work. One of the climbers:.... A hard core Harley Guy from California. John
I think the production was intended to run in one or two hour segments, but today thay ran the whole thing. I have no doubt it will RUN again.
