My scanner is $ucked for some reason. Anyways, a family from Lake Minnetoka "inherited" a Hornet 21 when dad passed away. It is getting restored to the n--th degree. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Definately some limelight...

Why do I get the feeling "restored" means ruined........

Minnetonka is the lake I go on.
Shipwreck does damn nice work and they are expensive. The Larson they did last year at the boat show was very nice. However, as I recall it was not restored to original condition. It had a bunch of new updates in it. Going down the new updates road would of course ruin the restored to original factory condition idea and it's value.

I'll be at the boat show this winter and take/post pics for you guys. We have a tradition that after the boat show, you go out to your boat during freezing ass cold temps, drink a beer, and give your boat a hug. Keeps her blessed until springtime rolls around.

I've seen the Hornet running around on lake Minnetonka.
It needed to be cleaned, buffed and left alone. They'll ruin it for sure! Sad

While I don't think you have to make everything original, 'bling' certainly isn't the word I would use to describe how a Hornet should look.

Is there 'de-blinged' option?

Clean it up, strengthen as needed, put it back to look original but with new power. That's the path I'd look for.
