The rear lift ring mount was finished up today. I recreated it out of higrade aluminum and am going to powdercoat it. The original looked like it was made in a beginning welding class. I have also included photos of both.

I have also installing the dash and steering I just finished it up 5 minutes ago.
Let me know what you think....

I will be glad when this beast is in the water running...

I was going to cover it with a carbon fiber looking vinyl, but decided to give the brushed stainless a try.

Scot,
Looks great, did you think about putting the angle bezels on since you’re a Lavorsi dealer?

Glad to see you making progress.

The angled bezels probably make sense but I never really like how they look..

I love the look of the honey gel with the blue and the dash

if it were done right the dash would look super cool if it had matching the carbon fibre like the gauges

looks good

Now you have gone and done it!! You have pizzed me off and I AM going to redo the Criterion Dash and make it look a little more modern, yet not too big of a change. Your doing a good job. I too do not like the look of angled gages.

You might not like the look of the angled guages but when your cruising along there looking right at you makes checking them a lot easier....Joe

The angled bezels probably make sense but I never really like how they look..

I wrestled with that on my X-18. I ended up going with the angled bezels. In the end I was very happy with the decision. I guess that it is a matter of preference but I can probably dig up some pics if you want.

Nice looking work

Do not bother with the slanted bezels photos. I did the dash the way I like it. I had slanted bezels at my disposal and did not like the look.

Thanks for suffering through my "baby" pictures....

Here is another photo. In this one I have added the ignition switch and other switches with blue bezels.

Also take note of the Donzi emblem in the center of the steering wheel.

Scot, that key is going to scratch the metal.

Also, did you clear coat the dash?

Powder coat is available in clear and might be worth thinking about. My neighbour has his frames (cars) done in black powdercoat and then has them cleared in powder coat as well. Looks VERY good.
