I'm trying to find a good place to mount a 10" or 12" subwoofer in a 1999 Z22 Open Bow. I wanted to put them under the back seat, but there isn't enough hieght. Has anyone done this and where?

There are lots of good marine subs out there, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a good place in that boat to mount one. i see adds ever once in a while stating an upgraded stereo system with 10" or 12" subs, but I'm having a hard time finding a good place to mount one that big.

I'm not sure if you have the same amount of space as I had in my 26ZX but I put a pair of 10" subs under the back seat. Here is a pic of mine.

Here is a link showing some of my speaker upgrades.

Not sure what you have for other speakers but I would upgrade them as well, the 6.5" MB Quart I put in help supply some base as well. The sony ones the factory supply don't even compare, I'm sure the 1,000 watt amplifier I installed helped as well :)

Unfortunately not, There is exactly 10" under the back seat, so it's about 3/4" too short and i really don't want to use 8" subs. I was looking at the Rockford seperates for the rest of the boat and the SAS bazooka marine amps.
