I can't believe Buizilla let her go. I had a nice ride in her about 1-1/2 years back. From the Mt Dora Lakeside Inn to the gas dock and back. She ran great the whole way

Wide open idle speed the whole way...

Congratulations on your new ride. Does it still have the SS?

Does it still have the SS?

Yep, and a "spare" SS shortly on the way :D

and the orig AlphaI. Labbed cleaver and a new TXP from Grizz too. New steering to be installed, and a Sternjack for experimentation.

Here I have 2 new spare sets of Stainless Marine (one for it) and all the bling from SSM I could buy.

Should be a fun summer with 3 boats running. I am bound to still have one usuable and operational by summers' end :D

Lenny, I think you should look at a little bigger tow vehicle, so that you have room for all your stuff........

My favorite car of all time, a 1966 Chevy Malibu. Mine was 327 305hp, same color, with white convertible top. I bought it 2 years old, I won't tell you what I paid for it, or what I sold it for with about 55,000 miles on it. Ouch. I used to get 20mpg out of it on the way to the shore with the wide ratio box, and 308 rear, and yet still find room to beat stock GTO's.

Sorry I know this is out of thread, but when you brought up the Chevelles, and I saw what the 72 was going for on eBay, I got that ache in my chest. Now I know what they mean when they say, eating my heart out. I am not going to make the same mistake again, by selling such a prize possession, so I ain't neva goin to sell my Donzi.

Congrats Lenny. She's a beauty and in my opinion the only way to have an 18' Classic......Windshieldless!!!! LOL Anywho......I like your choice of tow vehicle also. Had a 1st year 1964 SS Chevelle with a 327 and Muncie 4 gear. I picked up a Corvette tri-power induction system and had a blast beating the big blocks in the quarter because of my quickness out of the hole. (Believe though.....That big block was a comin in a hurry at the end of that quarter mile. LOL Wish I had some pics of that car. After the 64, I bought a 67, but not an SS. I just liked the rear lights better than the 66 model, but would love to have either car again now today.

Boat left North Carolina yesterday morning, heading first for Seattle. Company said not to expect it this week due to the ice storms and the crippling of your Interstates in that area. Early next week now. :(

Was it winterized??? :nilly::eek!::nilly:

Don't go there. It will be in a heated garage the rest of its' life once here....

Now, let's just get it here in one piece. :( Frost plugs can be changed  Blocks are a bit harder. Manifolds are coming off anyway.

Fingers crossed.

I has two Grady Whites keeping it company if it gets scared. 50 degrees around here. She is buttoned up pretty good with two covers on and a full shrink wrap.

Dam U beat me to that one Poodle! Frost/Freeze plugs a false description the brass/steel plugs in the sides of the block are only for casting purposes, they provide little to -0- protection. They will be firmly in place in most cracked blocks! With bit of luck it was drained!:crossfing::crossfing::crossfing:

You know what MOP, I didn't buy it for the motor. I bought it for the boat. And with two running 350's on stands, and two 70-71 4 bolt forged 350's on the other two stands, and a plethora of other stuff that really makes me wonder sometimes,,, I don't really care.

Just want that mint shiny Black Gelcoat to adorn the shop :D oh, and the trailer is nothing to ignore either. Nor the SS, or the other, or, or, or, or,,, :D

Should be able to get it home before dark. :)
