My deck stripe was repainted by the previous owner but I believe it to be authentic. Its 12" wide before the 1/4" pin stripe. The side stripe is 2". Mine is a 1994. No 20 needed, good luck.

-----K-wells,,,,Dont call your painter just yet as those dimensions just dont sound correct. Big stripe sounds too wide and pinstripe sounds too thin. I dont have a 22 handy to measure but someone else will pipe up, and if Im wrong puhleeze forgive me.......Bill S

-----Also,,, Isnt the bootstripe tapered??? Poodle is the expert but hes probably getting a boat wet or something.......

I wasn't "winging" the numbers. Im finishing the winterization today so I measured for you. The boot stripe may be 1 7/8, hard to tell exactly with the pin stripe, but I think its 2". No tapering at the bow.(thats either a limited edition or a non orig paintjob imo)The deck is definately 12". omeone else can confirm. Again, good luck.

Instead of a single, have you considered the old style dual stripes. I'm a little biased towards those.

...and why not shoot the 20 to the website.

12" deck for sure, plus or minus a bit depending on where the pinstripes fall.

The boot is sometimes tapered sometimes not. I think it looks better tapered. 2" sounds correct for the boot at the stern, not sure how small they get at the bow if tapered.

------Hope I didnt offend, MDonziM. I was going by memory and your dimensions didnt seem right. Apparently I am just wandering around in denial on this.........Bill S

There is no single right answer -

My '98 without the pinstripe in 12-5/8" for the deck and 2" for the boot stripe. I just confirmed this by measuring it.

Is that cleat on the bow frenched into the decking? If so did you do all of them that way. I was thinking of doing it on mine.

Did you wet sand it out, and the red pin stripes off? It looks so nice... Clean, simple, and SHINY!!

I have used 3M Finese-It (sp?) to buff it.

The red pin stripe was just tape. I have since replaced it with a thin black dual pin stripe that I like a lot.
