I sell a kit for these to update them to the current hatch struts, mounts & plates.. I have to reprice it as I havent sold one in a while. They are a little price, but If it still interests you Let me know.. :)

Also Do a search.. There is a post on here somewhere that was done about 2-3 years ago with a pic like I think you are talking about.. :)

hood numbers where taken from back edge of hood, hook your tape on back edge of hood, should be 12 1/2 inches to begigging of blind do daddy thing. for the side, hook tape on edge of hood and go in 2 7/8 to begining of that thing, these where taken with the hood down.... now for the other end i opened the hood and mesured from the back edge of the well that the hood fits in, thers a small canel deal that keeps rain water off your moter, the back edge of that. with your hood closed you should only have about 1/8 or so of a gap from that part of the boat. that mersurement is 27 5/8...........................

Mine came from Jamie at Lakeside originally.

This is a pic that soeone else posted, and it is very similar to what I am planning on doing The only thing I will do different is I will glass in a vertical plane on the hatch as well. That way I can through bolt the top of the strut without having to go through the top of the hatch.
