View Full Version : Gotta problem, need suggestions....

I already mentioned in the "Trick" thread that I bought a platinum Gaffrig Race Series tach and received instead a platinum 180 MPH analog GPS speedo, also Race Series. Fred told me in an email he would send the tach and would like the speedo back, but as time goes by, I'm doubting this will happen.
Today I emailed Gaffrig and explained the situation. They were courtious and understanding and explained the speedos are sealed and can't be re-calibrated, or change the face. Also they offered me a 10% discount on the rest of the GPS speedo kit.
So here's the deal, I have this 180 MPH speedo that retails for over $500.00 that I can finish out for about $325.00 total. It's got to be a good deal for someone, somewhere.....maybe.
What do you guys think I should do? Set it on the mantel?????:nilly:

I wonder if someone over at OSO ordered a GPS and got a tach (yours). Perhaps a post over there would lead to your tach and a trade could be made. At least you have the more valuable of the items. I agree, I doubt you will be getting anything from Trick weather you send the gps back or not. :boggled:

Did you pay w/ a credit card or PayPal? If so dispute the charge and get your money back. Then sell the speedo on Ebay.

They sell for more than $325 on eBay. If it were me, I'd buy the rest of the parts from Gaffrig and re-sell the whole unit on eBay, probably easily get $350 for it.
