A buddy of mine goes to a bankrupcy auction and gets a 502.
He calls me up all excited said it is only missing one valve cover and
he only paid a little to much.
502 iron block
Dart alloy heads
Roller Rockers w/ girdles
Dart Intake
850 Dominator Carb
MSD Distributor
So I go over to his garage to see this. We pull the one valve cover off.
Guess what. No valves, springs,rockers, studs, pushrods, just guides.
Pull the dist, no gear or rotor. Pull the intake manifold. No cam and
the push rods (on the side that has them) are cut short and sitting
on a chunk of angle iron. No lifters. Flip it over and pull the pan.
No oil pump, rods or pistons. And insult to injury, it has an old crank
that spun a rod bearing.
My bud is so pissed. He won't tell me what the winning bid was.
