View Full Version : Catch 22 clean
A while back, I met Catch on the road near his house. First thing he did, was gasp about how dirty the wheels on my truck were. I thought I was going to have to dial 911 for him, when I opened the back doors!
Anyway, a couple days later, I spent over an hour just on one wheel to bring it up to Red's standard. Even after scrubbing, and polishing only one wheel, I knew it wasn't up to his standard.
I finally got one up to Catch's standard today.
It was really pretty easy. All I had to do was buy a new truck.:eek!::tongue:

Looks like Deb got a new truck... :) :)
I'm going to try to drive her Sport Trac as much as possible, to keep the grout, then set, epoxy off it. :(
no more 250?
It was an F350, 05 diesel. I just never pull the 302 around anymore. I've had it out three times in over three years. :(
Between that, and work being slow, and the price of diesel, I really just wanted to get out from under those payments. I figure with the price difference between diesel and gas, I can get more dollars per mile than with the diesel. It's rated at abou the same mileage that my diesel gets. The new one says 19mpg on the highway, and I averaged 18 or so with the TD, but diesel is genarlly 40 cents higher per gallon.
Also, if I need to haul more than the truck can carry, I have a 16 foot tandem axle trailer I can pull.

your speaking a lot of truth about gas vs. diesel.... i'd be hard pressed to buy an oil burner right now myself if I had to... if you do the math, it takes about 150,000-200,000 miles to break even now on the cost basis, i'm seeing people buying V10 Ford's again for good reason... I think i'm gonna hang in there for the '09 Duramax Suburban

Gina and I were talking and if you scrub hard enough you might be able to get that blue spot off that wheel.:nilly::nilly::wink: Nice truck. P.S. What are you going to pull the 22 with?:nilly:
