scoggins-dickey and other gm performance parts sell the new high flow bowtie vortec heads ... bigger intake valves , all stainless , sodium filled exhaust valves ... springs are good for a .530 lift cam ... a test was done against the regular truck vortec heads that were polished and bowl blended and the bone stock bowties made 12 more ponies on the dyno ... about 1000.00 bucks fully assembled .... they have 2 different ones ... one with larger runners one with smaller ...hope this helps ...

Check with Edelbrock as well... Great castings. Also, they make a Big Block head that is hard anodized for marine aps... They might do the same for your 'headstone' port small block.

GODSPEED...

If you are running in fresh water, the Edelbrock E-Tec is a great head at a great price. If you are looking for iron, Speedway Motors has great pricing on RHS 170CC Vortec heads.
