Anyone ever hear of North American boats? Curious as to how it handles chop.:)

Looks like a deep V, tri hull and it as wide as..........well my boat. It's a 50/50 shot that it either will get up on top of the water or pound the crap out of you doing it. Or both.
Very interesting though. Sure is enough room to put a massive motor in it.:yes:

The boat is a North American Boat Company S-18 of 70's vintage. They also made an S19, S22 and others. I believe they were built in South Fla. These boats were all over South Fla in the 70's & 80's. They are flat when running with the bow down and you can hear them slap the water from a mile away. They would beat you to death in choppy or rough water. Not much of a rough water boat. They also do not have much freeboard. The S19's were used by the water cops in Ft. Lauderdale,FL after the Thunderbirds fell apart. Randy

I suspect there is water in the engine. No carb, no engine cover, open intake.:eek:
