Nice boat but seems like it's restored to the point where the "old school" look is gone...
I would still love to have it though. :)

Yeah....the 27 Sport was made from around 1968 until the early 80's....then....from what I understand you could special order one up until the late 90's although I don't think any were built.....

I love the look of the transom and of the raised cowl windshield. I would have skipped the massive red stripe on the cowl though:confused:

so they were making a 27 and a 28 at the same time or is the Maltese bigger than the ad says????

They were making them at the same time........and yes it doesn't make much sense......:)

The 28 had more cockpit and cabin space........my 27 Sport has about the same room as a 22 2+3.......

Was there any evolution between the small Cigarettes and the Magnums. My friend has a 27 (28) ?? Cigarette with 400 GM smallblocks and the thing is really slow. Did they ever come with Big Blocks?

The 28 Cigarette came from the 27 Magnum and yes they did eventually put big blocks in them......

These boats are heavy compared to newer boats but the ride in rough water is like nothing else....

My 27 Sport with twin 320hp small blocks and Bravos will run 67mph (GPS) with 3 people and a half tank of fuel......
