been elk hunting for 5 days straight...

man, i am exhausted! getting up at 4:00 am, riding hard for 5 days straight. post holing on horse through 2 ft of snow and no elk to show for it. got close on mon and tuesday, but no cigar. this may be the first time in 13 years i don't get my elk. i have next weekend and then i am pulling camp. would have kept hunting, but i was pretty tired and the horses needed a break. to say the least, i am pretty frustrated, but i still love it!

I wish I could afford to go out there. We lived there for two years, after my dad retired from the Navy in 1969. Better yet, I wish I could send Debbie out there. She'd love it. She may not come back. My cousin would be a perfect guide for her out there. He's into hunting, fishing, and off road motorcycle riding. My mom's family lives there.
