Fuel filter lines

My fuel filter is on tight and when I try using a filter wrench the bracket its moutned to bends alot. I dont wanna break anything so I'm gonna remove it from the bilge and work on it. My question is if I remove the fuel line from the tank is their a siphon? Will fuel keep flowing? Do I need to do anything to purge the line after I reinstall everything, or just let the fuel pump run before starting it up?

You should be able to put the palm of your hand against the bracket to support it while using a strap wrench to get it loose.
When you finally get it apart put it back on with a thin film of silicone grease on the rubber, turn it until it seats then 1/3 turn more that will cure you battling to get it apart.
