It came with 3 props all stainless. a 3 blade 23p and 2 4 blage a 25 p and a 24p rpm range is 5k my top speed on gps gauges is 63-64 How can I hit 70 the original owner claims the boat has 410hp what mods or changes should I make.

how much seat time do you have? I'm basically asking if you know the boat is trimmed right or not.

What prop are you using currently? Assuming the 25p, you may just need to trim it out more.

If the guy was truthful, that setup is a solid 65MPH setup driven wrong. If you get the right trim and a light load you shouldn't have problems getting it into the low 70's.

Also, generally speaking, a 3 blade prop will give you more top end speed if that is what you are most concerned about.

You need to look at what prop we are talking about. If you go th the thread testing with big grizzly, there are several numbers posted. the type of prop is very specific and rpm matched. In other words 4000 rpms with a 25 TurboI is X mph on a boat and all TurboI will net the same speed at those rpms. however a 25 mirage+ will be a different MPH at 4000 rpms. wo we need to know what props they are. Is 70 attainable--maybe

Hey guys, he said on his other thread that he is at 3000' and of course that's going to have a large impact on his performance.

How much drive trim have you tried, some 22's like mine like a handful to get it loose. Rough guess about 3MPH difference between good ride and loose at WOT, mine is a small block but has had a fair bit of weight transfered aft.
