So when are you going to be able to purchase cars, trucks and boats at a price closer to the US prices? Last time I looked, a $40K truck (US) was almost $60K Canadian?

the $40 case of beer is only an Ontario thing, living next to Quebec does have it's advantages, there is a small Depanneur in Aylmer whose name is Depanneur Gravelle - Le Roi de Biere (the King of Beers) beer by the case is half of what it is in Ontario.

Charles, it's a little depanneur and his volume of beer sales is # 1 in the province...

The most Beautiful thing about arbitrage is that the numbers are so simple.

One, and a fraction or compound, there of...

The Japanese got all caught up in it. And lost big time betting on us.

There will be all manner of programs now, for you to get interested in buying and selling moneys. The euro is the coin of the realm now. More stable than the US dollar. Look at BIG ticket stuff. They don't prefer US dollars any more. Even US based agents are going to the Euro standard.

The first time I visited Canada in 1950, the C$ was higher than US. Don't remember how much.....I've slept since then.

Sure helped me out. I borrowed the money to buy my boat 1 1/2yr ago from my sister (who lives in the US). The exchange was about 18cents on the dollar then. I've been waiting for our dollar to catch up. Just paid off the last of the loan today. Saved about 3.5k.:biggrin.::biggrin.:

Going south in a couple weeks to do some shopping. Need a new camera, stereo,.......
