I'm happy to say in the 4 months I've owned my 99 22C, I've put 51 troublefree hours on her. :) With that said, it's time to change the oil.

I can only assume she has non synthetic oil in her blood. I will run synthetic from here on out. Do you need to flush the old stuff out of the cooler, or does it really matter? If so, how does one accomplish this easily? Or do I just change it and forget about for the next 50 hrs?

According to Minxguy, the additive package in synthetic oils is organic based. So there's no need to do anything extra as there's always some organic oil in the system.

We were thinking of you recently, we're thinking of renting a lake front cabin next sumer on Lanier... That place is very, very nice. This time, the BBQ is on us ;) I'll keep ya posted.

Just to qualify Geoege's statement. A petroleum based lubricant will mix with a synthetic product providing the synthetic base stock is a PAO or Ester base.
There are some synthetic base stocks that are not mixable with petroleum or other synthetic bases. These are Poly Glycol base stocks. These are specialty bases for lubricants used in say methonal fueled two stroke engines etc.
If you are purchaseing your oils from any mass retail outlet I would not worry one bit.
Dump it in.
