A beautiful thing happened this weekend on sunday morning. 2 22's my 18c and an F-14 in my marina - thats rare in the 1000 Islands. One hit bottom though and had some damage. Still makes you smile though.

He has a home right by the US span (mainland side) of the 1K bridge.
Had a chance to talk with him a few years ago. He is quite a character.

I seem to recall a Brock Yates that used to write for I think Car and Driver magazine, maybe still does. Same guy??

I would think so, he's the only one I've ever heard of.

It's the same guy. He was taking a bit of a beating for his political leanings in the magazine. I don't subscribe any longer, so I'm not sure if he's still writing for them.

Rumor has it he was considering one last cannonball before he calls it a day. I don't konw how you'd do it in this day and age, but what the heck, it would be great to see if they could break the old record.
