It's a '79 Checkmate Predictor. :) It's the one from Ohio that I had posted about a while back. I hesitated because I wasn't so sure about a long drive for a boat that I couldn't look at first. Then I found a nice '87 Exciter locally, but the seller's sister ended up wanting it, so that was the end of that deal. So I got back in touch with the seller of this one, and it was still for sale thankfully, since he hadn't been advertising it. My Dad and I took the day on Saturday to pick it up. The seller was very honest about the condition, which is great overall, and very clean for a '79. He did a solid, neat job on the floor/interior. She trailered home very nicely. I'll post a few more pics this week once I get her in the water! Asking price was 2400, and I took it home for 2k even. :hyper:

Looks like a fun boat and sure can't beat that price
No sweat Checkmate has always made a decent boat, looks like you found a real decent buy. Best of luck with it and will be waiting for your wet shots!

And I covered up that hole from the old Merc controls with a screw in deck plate...
