Boo Boo and I decided to take three horses and pack into the Wind River Range over Labor Day. The Winds as we call them, are 110 miles long, 40 miles wide, have 7 of the 10 largest glaciers in the lower 48, and over 2900 lakes with Rainbow, Cutthroat, Golden, Brown and Brook trout. They also boast I don't know how many peaks over 12,000 ft. The terrain is some of the most remote and rugged I have ever seen. The beauty of the Winds is only matched by it's remoteness and isolation. We camped at well over 10,000 ft and we saw 2 people over 35 miles in 5 days. Caught huge 4 pound Cutthroat and had a blast, as we do every time. Here are a few pics. Notice the Donzi T-shirt at 10,500 ft!
