I am changing to thru hull exhaust on my Classic 18. If I install the risers (short glenwood marine) straight up, they hit or almost hit the teleflex steering calble that mounts to the drive transom plate.
Question.
Can I rotate these risers so the top (hump) lies sideway instead of straight up, and will this cause any problem with back wash into the engine.
The risers have not been drilled to match the manifold and the transom has not been cut, so all options are open.
Your help is appreciated.
