What happened?!

GLM makes an aluminum set, that look like stock, and are suppose to perform a tick better, for much less than standard Merc.

I had aluminum Eddie Marine exhaust on the SBC Minx, and I loved them.

I put Dana on the BBC in the 22, and saved 110 pounds.

Many choices. I bought Dana mainly for the bling effect. Stainless Marine are excellent, but everybody and their brother has them, so if you get some, Fishboy will have to buy another I/O boat and put them on.:biggrin:

I don't have any picture, because my hard drive took a dump Friday, and I lost thousands of pictures, and weeks of work stuff stored on it. :(

I checked, and I had 7,037 pictures posted on Oso alone. :eek!:

I couldn't find SBC exhaust on their site, but I know they have them, or at least did have. If I was doing another SBC, I'd use them again, without a doubt.

GLM Exhaust.

I bought a cast iron set from Dennis Moore, before I got the deal on the EMI's. I never did install them, but I had run a file across where the manifold meets the riser, as I always do, to check for flatness, and they were flatter than any Merc exhaust I ran a file over. The castings just looked better too. Again, these were cast iron, but they also make aluminum. You'll see them quite often on ebay.

Here are the Dana's that I put on the 22. I think they only make them for BBC. Like I said, I bought them mostly for the bling factor. I don't think you'll see much performance difference for our applications with any good exhaust system.

When I bought the Dana exhaust, it was a toss up between them and Revolution Exhaust. The Rev's were more "cost effective" (read cheaper). but I thought the Dana was better looking.

Now, if I'd have had the extra dough, I would have boughten these KE's.

Some people think they are uglier than home made sin, but I think they're the cat's ass!

BBC only though. :(

If you want to see the Stainless Marine exhaust, just lift the hatch on about any Donzi that's been worked on. :):eek!:

There's probably good reason for it too. :)

They sounded sweet! I also had an SBC with Merc exhaust in a boat at the same time, and they didn't sound nearly as good. JMHO.

Here's the SBC stainless marine setup. I'm guessing they're about 40lbs per side because I can hold them with one hand and start the bolts with the other.

Bud you need to consider how short can you go with the cam you have, like you I would like Q&Q but do not have the room with the Gil setup.

EMI will reposition risers to meet your specs.
My risers had to be cocked inboard to correct alignment to the tips. Repolished and looking better than new. My mistake in not measuring the width and height of the tips can be averted prior to ordering their exhausts. BTW a member of our board is a dealer for EMI.

Here's mine... well that won't work! The site won't let me upload the pic because I have already posted it in the "engine before and after on this site.
