Had a GREAT little getaway at my folks Cottage...

and took a few pics. Basically, Deneen and I (no child or dog) went over there in our "new" beater Aluminum boat, 9.9 Merc, you know the deal, and had a great time. Soo much fun gunkholing once again, crabbing and basically not caring about a boat. What FUN !!! :D
Anyways, when we got there we were greeted by a couple of transient whales (ORCAS, Killer Whalers :rolleyes: ) Got a quick vid of em but at 58 meg I have nowhere to put it. And I have include a couple of pics of high tide, low tide and a few crabs. Dungeness crab everywhere right now. Finally nice weather too.

lenny, do the whales, regardless of type, ever show any interest in small boats?

No, they are smarter than we are I think. And they have had about a billion years to figure things out. I think they know exactly what "we" are and pose no threat. I have been within 10' of a POD of killer whales (15+) in a 12' boat and they know EXACTLY where their dorsal is at and how NOT to hit me.

Gotta thank them for that :D
