production numbers

I have a 98' model 18 classic
The serial number is DNAC8001F798 I interpret this as
DONZI---classic---18'---001---made in May 97--- 98 model
Is this correct and if so my real question is if I have number one that year how many were produced for the 98 model year.

NOPE.
Built in the "F" month = June, of "7" = 97 and yes it is the first one of the 1998 production run.
Guestimate of 25 built.

I found this thread quite interesting...has anyone any idea of actual production numbers of the classics each year and over the years? Only 25 boats for one year for the 18 surprised me, is/was that typical for pruduction?

My boat is white with blue on hulls sides (whole hull side not just stripe) and blue top stripe.
