I'm looking for a Sweet 16, Classic 16 or possibly Classic 18. I'm in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. I'd like to find one in Michigan, but I'd consider traveling to Indiana or Ohio for the right boat. Anybody have, or know of, any of them for sale? Feel free to PM or post a reply. I can also be reached via email at smbarcelow@hotmail.com. Thanks!

I found the following:

1977 Donzi Sweet 16 in excellent conditon. Newer GM 350 and Volvo 270 outdrive with stainless steel prop. Comes with two covers and trailer. $6,800.

Any feedback about the price, setup, etc. would be appreciated. Can anybody tell me if the 77's originally came with a 350?

I looked at it and ran it (in the driveway) for a few minutes. It sounds a little labored at idle, but it smooths out nicely just off idle. The seller said it misses a bit when getting up on plane but smooths out at speed.

Any thoughts? By the way, thanks for the replies so far. This is a great site with a nice community of members. Hopefully, I'll find something to buy so I can hang around for a while.

Any feedback about the setup, price, etc. would be appreciated. Does this sound like a good deal? I looked at it and it is in very good, original condition (except engine and interior, which are newer).

Can anyone tell me if the 77's came with a 350, or is the current engine larger than what was available new?

By the way, thanks for the replies so far. This is a great site. I'm hoping to find a nice Donzi so I can hang around for a while. (Sorry if this is a redundant reply...I made an attempt that didn't appear to take.)

Thank you both! I lucked out and found her ten minutes after she was posted for sale. We'll see how she does in the water tonight. I was only able to run her in the driveway when I looked at her (no insurance).

That's my old boat. I just sold it on ebay this summer. Looks like the buyers didn't keep it too long. It has a Chevy ZZ4 crate engine in it. You can find specs at Jegs or Summit on the ZZ4. Hope you enjoy it.
