raffle?

what are the chances of getting an older 16 that requires restoration (if we can find it cheap enough) and raffle it off to support the board?

if we sold 200 tickets at $50.00 each we could have a bunch of money for the board and someone would end up with a pretty cool project

Do a search under "oldLenny" and raffle and you will see we visited this and a NEW 16 back in 2000 or so. It didn't come to fruition due to interest and tax/income implications.

Maybe the atmosphere is different now (300 members then) but I do not think so. 500 tickets at $100 each is what I was thinking back then.

I can see the difficulties with the new one but if it was only worth like $2500 - 3500 I wouldn't see as much as an issue
