I was pretty bummed when Chrysler gobbled up American Motors just to get the Jeep brand. And when Daimler gobbled up Chrysler I never once fell for the "equal merger" crap. Even though I prefer Fords I hope Cerberus can get Chrysler back on track.:convertib:

Best of luck to Chrysler. I think Daimler just couldn't work with the americans.
Nothing against american, I am one, but we see things very different from the Germans. I know, I worked for Seimens for many years.
Hope they get clue from the Ford Mustang and make the new Challenger look more like
the old one (not like the new Charger or Pontiac GTO).

When the Viper and the V10 came out we approached Chrysler with the idea of
doing a marine version of that torgue monster V10. They stated that it was not
their target market and they would sell us motors but we had to give any development back to them. NO DEAL.
