Damn, I wouldn't think just swapping heads could generate 200 horsepower.

Please keep in mind that it was not just the heads that were changed.
They added a mechanical roller camshaft and a Victor Junior intake also.
Unfortunately they did not provide the specs on anything other than the heads.

My bad. After all those changes, changing the heads generated 171 horsepower, which I still find hard to believe.

I would not take this article too seriously other than AFR makes some nice heads.

I hardly think a cam with 254-260 @ .050 is mild street.... :bonk: besides, NOBODY runs a solid roller on the street anyways...

who the hell wants a combo with peak torque at 5000 rpm and peak power at 6800 rpm :boggled:

I am with Buzz. BTW how long do you think a BBC would live at 6,800 Rpms. These are dyno numbers and not really and may not relate to real use. I don't need to tell you how many engines we put on the dyno that didn't come close to the dyno sheet. Case in point we received an engine that a local bough from California( not a teague engine) that was suppose to be 1100hp. The guy had the magazine with him with the boat test. Garry said he saw a red flag, the numbers were too book like and pat. He called the guy, told him to come over while he uncrated it and put it on the Dyno. I got there after the Dyno runs just as the guy was leaving with tires smoking. 882 hp was what it pulled.
