I have always loved the Donzi's and am planning to build myself a boat this winter from the partial proceeds of the sale of my 466 Bertram Flush Deck. It can be seen online on Ebay, We have finally tired of the Marina and Yacht Club scene and want the lower cost and portability of a trailer boat again. I love the big fresh water lakes available in the midwest as well as the idea of running the rivers too. My question is this, " In the 20' to 24' V Hull " market, is there anything that might be better than the 22 classic for Running Fast and hard in rough water. I know we are all Bias but let me know what your ideas are on this. I don't know If I could bring myself to buy anything else or not anyway but worth asking.
For use 2 minutes from home on the Ohio it is not uncommon to need to run through 24" chop for miles when we go towards the larger towns such as louisville. Most smaller boats have always beat the crap out of us and I am under the impression the deep V Donzi will do better.
