Stuart, Fl.

Did you go to Shrimpers or Barebones or the Donzi dealer on the north side of the bridge?

Good idea.....
Lots to see, but not much air conditioning. Can be pretty unpleasant.

Yesterday, we we took the ferry to Monhegan Island and spent the day. Took a load of pics, maybe I'll post some in the next few days.
We'll be heading back to the land of airconditioning on Friday, I can't wait. Imagine Florida in July w/o air.........:bonk::bonk:

Jordan Pond House:)

It's in the park, great place for popovers and tea on the lawn.

It was much nicer in the 70's than now, today I believe you'll need to make reservations to eat on the lawn . . .

Enjoy Carter . .have you driven to the top of Cadillac Mtn., hikes the carriage paths . . great flower gardens in NE Harbor

Wally's house . .

As in Walter Cronkite . . . tha's in Seal Harbor isn't it?

I always wanted to go boating in this area, powerboating . . . I've sailed the area a bit . .but by small Donzi this could be fun and scenic . .

Poodle, when were you at Acadia last? Did you take time to visit Owl's Head Transportation Museum? http://www.ohtm.org/

This place has great events, and for a power sports buff can easily absorb a day . .

There used to be a Donzi Doral anchored in Bar Harbor . twin H&M SBF . "double thunder" was the name . .

I was wondering if anyone noticed the pretty elaborate jet drive on the picnic boat blocked in Hinkley's yard. I watched a video in their Ship Store of that series of boats. Pretty impressive for a jet. Seems to have a good rate of speed. Has a bow thruster and a joy stick that controls it and the jet at once. The boat will turn around in its own length. It will also beach itself stern first.
Speaking of the Ship Store.......I invested heavily in a Polo shirt and a ball cap:eek!: But I guess it was worth it.

George,
Throw that Nextel in the bay. No wonder you never pick up a call.

Have a nice time

Now that everyone knows what you've been doing for the last couple of days, maybe they should know what you were doing last Friday & Saturday?

Tim, I was going to post my 1K island pics as soon as I get back to some airconditioning......it's 92* and 90% humidity here today. Folks here act like they're are cheating if they admit to liking some AC.:bonk:

Dude,

we don't get this weather everyday . . .
