1974 GT-21 windshield

I have a 21-GT with the original windshield, The problem is it works too good and on hot humid days there is no air flow through the boat. Iam thinking of taking it off. Does anyone know what is involved and how hard a job it is? Has anyone else had this problem and come up with another solution? Does anyone have a picture of a GT-21 with out a windshield so that I can decide if this is a stupid idea?

to take off the wind shield on a gt, is like puting a new front end and grill on a 69 vett.

Yes, I had one, and took it off. Never ran it though.



It was EASY to take off. But you WILL need a 3/8" socket set and a COUPLE extensions and a universal for the back two accessible only from within the motor compartment and reaching forward.

There are pics somewhere here of a beautiful white (blue stripe) one WITHOUT the windshield. I can't find 'em right now... :(
