Quick question - we are looking at buying either a late 80's Z-33 or a late 80's Formula 311. I was wondering about the cabin layout on the Z-33. Is the front v-berth big enough for two adults to crash on for the night? I am 6'0" and my wife is 5'7". We also have a 3 year old little girl and a newborn son. Can you sleep two adults and two small kids in the cabin on this boat? We really like the lines on this boat and it would only be occasionally when we trailer some places. We currently have a 91 SeaRay 370DA, enough cruising, time to go a little faster and visit some new lakes.

Two adults - yes, with 2 kids - no. This berth is really made for a daytime nap.

Thanks for the info DonziGo - from all the searches I have done on this boat it looks as though you must have one of the nicest around the country. If we end up going with a Crossbow I may have some questions for you. It seems like it would be just like fixing up an old Cuda, yesterday's great lines, today's great power & performance.

Thanks for the comments. I have been working on the front half for 6 years and I just put ne 496s, with Bravo X drives in the boat. Now, I can actualy say it's the newest old Z-boat in the country.

Very Nice!! What kind of speed do you see now??

Any chance you might ever upgrade and want to get rid of that beauty???

Sounds like you need to make the oil companies happy this weekend.

Two more questions, What is the actual LOA of the Z-33? Did Donzi include the twin sponson style swim steps into the 33' or is it measured from the transom. My question is because the boat just does not seem as long as say the late-80's Formula 311. The other question, what is the length on a trailer, I am beginning to build a shop this winter and need to decide between a 40'/50' pad to lay down. Thanks again.

not that i don't like the donzi's and they are pretty cool when in the condition mentioned above

but.........

I would go with the formula :)

more readily availiable (cheaper) and if you are talking about the 30 + you will have a hard time finding water to big for it

the formula's also have a great cabin as well

just my opinion :boat:
