How do you translate a Mercruiser carb # to a Holley #?????
For instance;
Merc #13549A4
or;
Merc #1393-8862A1

Oooops!
I wasn't explicit enough.
If I'm looking at a microfiche page on the Doug Russel site, and it says a particular Merc engine (the 440 for instance) has a Merc carb # that in the picture is obviously a Holley carb, how do I find the equivalent Holley #?????:confused:

This may be another place to look!

I guess I'll have to assume no one here knows??????
What I want to know is, if I wanted to replicate a 420-440-?????, or any thing else, and I have a Merc # for a Holley carb, I'm obviously NOT going to buy the carb from Merc @ $1,500.00........
So what Holley carb do I buy???:confused::confused::confused::confused:

BTW, i'm very happy with my 850 BG marine carb :wink: :cool: if Cuda has his original Holley's to get a list #, I would use that info for starters, and back into it from there. I trust his info.

George I think the motor you have will be making at least that, you putting in a good cam. Why bother trying to dupe the 440?

I have a 9022 on Deb's 454. Maybe I'll drag it out of the garage today and see if it will run. I changed the jets to 75 in all four corners.

I'll recommend the Holley 9381, 830 cfm annular discharge carb. It has a very progressive secondary eliminating the lean spot at the top of the primary.
I've had fantastic results with this carb in very similar applications.
