I seem to have an afinity for finding ALOMST Donzis. This is advertized as a Donzi but who knows. I can't find any pictures on the web of Donzis with this deck structure.

Your thoughts? Is this another splash? It's a 350 V drive.

Thanks

Paul

Looks like an early 18C. Must be a tack coming out of the deck. Left hand drive, no morse shifter (or any shifter for that matter), V drive. Hmmmm......

Look at the turned down aft section of the hull it is a 16 splash maybe, Tom Rust&Rot may shed a little light he had a 16 Vdrive. The one shown had encountered a biy of grounding or it has a custom rudder.

Looks like it has the 16 "hook". Wasn't that patented by Wynn?

16 V-drive.

Get yourself a flashlight, crawl under the deck and start looking for a hull number.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the thoughts. I would love to go over and have a look, but it's about a 6 hour drive from here. I will be relying on pictures for any details, although if I decide to go pick it up, I will of course have the opportunity to say "no".... :) But when have I ever done that...:bonk:

Cheers

Paul,
Is this boat down my way? I'd gladly look at it for you.

Yeller, I have emailed him. A 16 for sure, and the V-drive is not factory. Not a Donzi piece like this is... on a sixteen :D

I know of a couple boats for you if you are interested that are not too far away. Not mine either.

Hi Yeller,

Well, It's in Squamish, about an hour north of you. I haven't heard anything back on my questions to him so I don't know any more than I've posted. I may take you up on your kind offer if things progress.

Thanks and cheers

The deck looks a little warped and spongy near the "Uncle Roman" tach....

Squamish is about 1.5hr from my house, but I often work in W. Van which puts me about 30min away. Shouldn't be a problem checking it out if your serious. :)

I'm not as conversant on early 16's as some of you are....but isn't there a bit more bow flare in this boat than in real Donzi's?????
