Over the years I have owned quite a few sport class boats. I thought it would be interesting to list them as a sort of trip down memory lane. As best as I can recall, here are the ones in order of purchase.
 1964 Glaspar 16’ with 70HP Merc O/B
 1973 Trisonic 18’ with 188HP Merc I/O (bought new)
 1971 Donzi 18’ with 350HP (LT1) V/P I/O (red/white – 2nd owner)
 1973 Jolly Roger 18’ with 455 Berkley Jet
 1977 24’ Excalibur with 330HP Merc I/O (bought new – dark green)
 1976 21’ Donzi GT 21 with 454 BBC V/P I/O (blue/white)
 1978 24’ Excalibur with 260HP Merc I/O
 1973 21’ Donzi GT 21 with 454 BBC V/P I/O (yellow/white)
 197? 18’ Donzi Corsican with 454 V drive (red/white)
 1980 23’ Formula 233 with 260HP Merc I/O
 1953 Chris Craft 18’ Riviera with 130HP MBL V drive
 1963 21’ Century Coronado with Chrysler 413 V drive
 1940 17’ Chris Craft double cockpit barrelback with 120HP CC V drive
 1980 16’ Four Winns with 140HP Merc I/O
 1985 16’ Tullcraft with 120HP Force O/B
 1985 23’ Eliminator Daytona with 600HP blower BBC Bravo drive
 1990 Stratos 20’ CC fishing boat with 200HP Johnson O/B
 1985 Cobalt 23’ CM with 260HP Merc I/O
 1994 Wellcraft 23’ CC fishing boat with 200HP Johnson O/B
Of the boats that I have owned, I most enjoyed the 1971 Donzi (about 1100 hours of use), the Trisonic (about 600 hours use), the 1977 Excalibur (about 600 hours of use until it was stolen), and the 1953 Chris Craft (about 300 hours of use). Right now I still have the 23’ Eliminator and the 20’ Stratos. I will probably buy a 22’ Donzi at some point. Does anyone have a specific recommendation on year and engine package? Bill
