I have this 350 MAG MPI below. I also have a bunch of "other" stuff.
Question, should I keep the EFI on it (for now) or take off this Demon 650 and add an Edlebrock RPM Performer (Vortec) to it and get going ???

Lenny, after my carb issues, god I would kill for EFI (especially due to the fact that I run between 3000-7000ft. If you decide to get rid of your EFI, let me know if it is for sale.

I am going to stay out of this one.

If you have all the electronics to make it work, I say EFI. You won't be disappointed. It's not the stock motor so originality shouldn't matter if that's one of your concerns.

I voted Carb only for the simplicity, once you get a carb set up right they go for a very long time. I laugh when our guys grab the lap top & code reader and leave grumbling damn electric crap! Two of the guys are young and reasonably fresh out of school and seem to know their stuff, they prefer carbs as they say they are far less time consuming when there is a problem.

Lenny , I have a edelbrock performer intake that i will give you if you wanna try it out . it was used for a year in salt but it is in good condition , i always flush with salt away . . it is for vortec heads ... but if it were me , i would keep the mpi ... my 2 cents . i am running an rpm air gap now . .

Did you notice a difference when you went to the Air Gap? I am in the process of freshening up my short rod 383 and am going from a Performer RPM to a Performer RPM Air Gap w/750vac. sec. Holley. I am running World Products Sportsmen II 72cc angle plug heads w/200cc runners and guide plates, TRW L2403N pistons @ little over 10:1 compression if I remember right. I am thinking of going with the Comp Cams 268hyd roller cam and the SS roller rockers.

I voted carb, but I voted before I saw you already have a running Efi. I'd run the Efi, and when the troubles start, swap to the carb, otherwise you are at the mercy of someone else to fix problems.

I never ran the 383 with anything other than the air gap , i had the perfomer on a 350 . I have read that the air gap and 750 carb is a pretty good set up !
