Hello good people - I have a chance to buy some NEW Mercruiser polished stainless steel exhaust risers at a good price. I am told they are 6" risers and suit big block 454 Chev approx 1986-1992 but I have a 7.4lt (p/steer/BRavo 1) 1996 set up that is STOCK (classic 22). Is it worth the risk to purchase and have them not fit? Are there any size differences in these year models? Also, are they a good product, will I see a performance improvement? Do I need to know the angle for transom etc?
I sure like the look of them and my current gaskets have some mild corrosion leaking through, although NOT severe (a wire brush usually cleans them up).
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I could very well be wrong but they look to high for a 22, my Gils clear the hatch by about 3/4" and are much lower then those. Below is a picture of "Budmans" engine with Gils notice the height!
