Changing cables on a 22c

My throttle cable is looking rough. Orig from '86 I guess.
So I was looking at the Quicksilver and ....

Remove handle, unscrew throttle/shifter box, pull back into
engine bay and swap cables. Then try to feed back into position,
etc., etc. :boggled: I am not skinny enough to fit up in the gunwal.

Am I missing the easy way ???

yes!! you were soppose to tape the new cable's to the old cable's and pull them through all those kinky positions..:wink:

I'm guessing this control was installed before the deck was bonded
to the hull !???!?

Or they had very skinny people with long arms or trained hampsters to install
the Quicksilver.

I can just reach it by crawling way up under the dash over the foot well.

yes most likely they installed it whyle it was in two pieces..remove seat and slide upder the dash on your back then you can kinda see what your doing..
