My '86 18C has the famous engine hatch warp. The port side rear corner sticks up about 1/4". I have tried adjusting the hinges, but did not help. Is there a way to get the slight twist out of the hatch or do I just live with it?
Thanks in advance...
Dave

Perhaps w/some careful consideration, a few scarf cuts could be made into the inner skin/core and after "adjusting" the offending corner, it could be re-skinned.

Our 22 had a scoop on the hatch when I bought it. They didn't seal the edges of the cutout, so naturally, it was pitched to the center like a shower floor. I took it to a place, they built a jig, filled in the hatch hole, and reinforce the hatch. It weighs a lot now, but it's straight. You can see the jig they made under the hatch.
