Merc 888 drive

Does anyone have any experience with the Merc 888 drive?

How easy to convert to Alpha or Bravo?

The "888" is simply a Mercrusier #1 or "R" outdrive and transom unit coupled to a 188hp Ford 302 engine. That was Mercruiser's hot stern drive set-up back in the early '70s. Only minor trimming and hole drilling is required to convert to the Alpha or Bravo.
