I got a chance to drive Tex's Procharged 500 EFI 27 ZX with around 750 hp. That boat is set up! It pins you back pretty good at 65 and moves nicely to 80 on glass water. I did experience some mild chine walk as we entered Chewalla creek in the high 70's, it settled down quickly and marched back nicely.

The whole pad concept on that boat is pretty funny to me since it takes somewhere around 80 to actually get it up on the pad and it takes around 700 hp to get you up on it. Not a bunch of single engine boats in 97 sporting that kind of power. I got to see Tex doing a drive by at 85 on the pad. It looked like it was on rails!

I guess that I have no choice but to keep building my engine and drop it in a 27 ZR one day. I am thinking that one of those with 750 hp would be a screamer!
