simple question

How much oil does a 1969 302 ford hold includeing filter....Don,t have a book on it don,t know weather to trust the dipstick...Thinking 5 qts. with filter...Thanks Joe

My book says 6 with filter. But I always do 5 1/2 and then check the stick. You never know how much you get out unless you are measuring what you get out. After the fact its easier to add more then take it back out.
