Does anyone have experience using the Corsa bolt on muffler/silencer tip as an aftermarket add on (for example, on a Minx)? Is this truly bolt on? Does it fit through the pre-existing transom holes and do the bolt patterns match stock Donzi Minx exhausts?

What kind of noise reduction do you get with just these silencer tips (no inline mufflers, etc)?

I have a pair of exactly those, brandy new, mint and Salisbury flaps if you are interested.

I have "stored" these for about 2 years now.

Seems I have NO use for quiet and luckily the ocean has no laws here... :D

The stud holes should line up fine. The Corsas will knock some sound off and leave a nice tone. That said - I went the opposite direction - http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43740&highlight=tip.

I'd sell my old ones. I dinged the opening a little taking them off but you can't tell it with the Salisbury flappers installed. If interested I could take some close-up photos.

Lavorski has some slip ins that might offer a cheaper and easier alternative. I have a pair on my boat and they were too quiet so I had some holes drilled into the center block off plate. That way you can tune the noise to what ever level you want. Just keep drilling more holes till it sounds good to you.

Greg -

Do you have the MI4L, MI4H, or MI4 Livorsi slip in's?

I went with the Corsa angled tips when I switched exhausts and went to 4 inch. Photo doesn't really show them well, but they basically take the "bark' out, but I've still been stopped by the Lake police for a noise check. Registered 89 dbl at idle, which is just below the new York State 90 dbl limit.

Hi Cutwater. Sorry for the slow reply, I havn't been on the box for a few days. The ones I have are like the M 14 you have in the pic. I think I got mine from Eddie Marine. In the center sec there is a block off plate. I had my friend take a plasma cutter and cut about a 1" hole in the center. It takes the bark out, but is a little loud. They come in and out very easily so it's easy to dial in the sound you want. Good Luck. Greg
