This Predictor (not Persuader as the ad states :bonk:) is right near me. http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/0/8/88824108.htm If it's a good runner, and solid I suppose it's a good deal eh? Any notorious problem areas I should inspect? I know someone who could paint it for a low price at least.

Hopefully I could get it looking half as nice as this eventually...

We use to run those for skiing at work. Our lake is only one mile long, never too rough. For that price, check compression, check hull, if decent, have fun. I thought Cuda sold his last year, he probably knows more about these hulls. Good luck.

Sounds good, I'm on a small lake as well - 3 miles long, 1/2 mile wide.

Hey SurfGreen,
If it runs and the transom is not rotten, I say go for it.
Fix it up as you can and enjoy boating. Paint it "SurfGreen"!
Remember to be safe...wear your PFD, and kill switch lanyard.
If this is your first boat, I suggest a boating safety course. It may be a little boring, but it may save a life. (YOURS)

Hey Barry, yup completed my safety course back in the fall. It's now mandatory in NJ for a license. This will be my first boat that I've owned, but I have driven since I was a kid. But I will be taking it pretty easy - the good ol marine police...:lookaroun:

I could paint it to match it to my guit, maybe 2 tone surf green and white. :D

check the transom for cracks and/or soft wood, especially around where the bottom bolts are. also check the compression on each cylinder, and check the fluid in the lower unit to make sure there is no water or anything milky looking in it. 112 hp is not a lot of power.

True. This guy sees 48-50 GPS with a Johnson 115, stock prop - not bad.

The white Evinrude looks pretty goofy on a black/red boat though. :o

Here's one that looks to be very nice. It's a good 6 hour drive from here, but might be worth it.

Went to look at the local one this evening. Not terrible, but it was pretty rough. It's probably fine for a temporary bare bones runner, but I'd end up putting too much into interior and cosmetics.
