Prop talk!

I picked up a Turbo 2+2 14-1/4 22 4 blade, I am running a Turbo Ultima 13-3/4 23 4 blade. Any ideas on where the lesser pitch but larger diameter will put me, how much will one offset the other. Currently my mouse motor is turning 65.5 @ 5050

Mop you got the measurements incorrect. the Ultima is 14 1/4 and the Turbo 2+2 is 13 1/4 or 14 1/4 in diameter depending which one you get. The 2+2 is not not suppose to be a good choice, but Tom liked it ,his was a big diameter and a 25 pitch. It was one of his slower props.The Ultima is a good rough water with good midrange and good acceleration

Randy I noticed right off that it was smaller then the 23 cleaver I had so I took my big calipers and checked it is now 13-3/4 so it is 1/2 overall smaller then the 2+2 maybe it was cleaned up in the past. The Ultima is a super prop as far as I am concerned, the 2+2 may end up being my spare, I'll do a comparison as soon as I get wet.

The ultima is a good prop. it is the choice of yamaha fish boats and the like. some of the newer deasigns are a tad better/ different, but not worth buying unless you can test it first and compare on same day/and conditions.
