Finally got my stainless marine indicators installed. I haven't tied up the cables and hoses yet, but I'm really happy with the location and the look. Can't wait to get the boat out on the water.

I've never seen those before. They look very functional - just a quick glance to know the positions. The throttle looks great too!

They look great.

It might just be me, but I'd lose that dash mounted gps, I think they look like a wart on a beautful woman, when the dash is done right.

Zimm, Everything looks GREAT. But your running out of time. Kentucky's getting close and you still have a blower to install.:wavey:

I'm not going to get the blower on in time for the Kentucky trip. I've been putting several hours in every day on this project so far. I still need to clamp and tie all the hoses neat and tidy and bleed the system for the steering. Also need to drop the boat off at the shop and get them to pull and pressure check my imco lower, it's leaking lube and I don't want to take any chances with it- that's probably going to take several days.

There's not enough slop in the threads to align the screws, they tighten up quick and just stop. Nobody noticed that I used oval headed screws on the outside because I didn't have any flat top ones? I can fix that someday. I'm more worried about getting this thing ready for a boat ride...

A feature that seems to go lacking quite often here lately. And another one that seems to be totally out the window "have some class check".

If you get your boat ready in time for AOTH, I will personally introduce you to the Big Griz on the docks at Cumberland, and you will probably realize that this comment wasn't really necessary. Griz has forgotten more than most of us know about Donzis.

Spelling... Geesh.

Ok guys thanks for the support, but it was just in fun. I took no offense at all. Forgetting all that knowledge is the sign of getting old, I didn't forget it I just chose not to remember it.

Come On! Just remove the screws and just have the undersides of the heads machined a little at a time until "Perfect"

I have these fugly things and because I have arneson drives that go up and down and side to side .... they are painfully innaccurate for my application.
How much was the kit and is it avalable in 4-trim devices????

Thanks for getting the thread back on track. The spelling comment was just a joke. Lighten up you guys. After a 10 hour road trip to boat in Kentucky, getting thrown off the dock by some guy named "big grizzly" because of a stupid comment on the internet is a little silly. Glad he saw that it wasn't an offensive comment.

The 3 track system was $980 from stainless marine.

Here's their prices for the standard indicators (the flush type), the pop ups are little more.

Come on guys lets be nice. its all in fun. If I though It was a personal cut you bet I would have jumped down on Zimm17. Now Zim, if you dish it out than you need to take it too. Look what Poodle and Road trip have to take and give out. Like I said I like oval not flat --not a cut just a preference. None of my Donzis had flats except under the rub rail.

If swimming is done it needs to be done in beer not the lake. Cumberland is an adventure in good times not and exercise in swimming!

I agree. You can all laugh at my oval vs. flat head screws not being aligned as long we all have cold beer in hand. Heck, I'll be lucky just to get the boat in the water and running in the next few weeks...

Robert, I am bringing the 86 mph Blackhawk props for your exclusive use!
I do not care if you use the oval or flat heads when you put them on your boat. But I do want to make sure that my life insurance has been paid up to date. My Cigarette does not have Rams, that could be why it only does 70 mph.

Do you think that we can get Strawberry Jill to be our team cheerleader?

Let's just use pop rivets to hook up the HP BHLE props. Less weight on the prop shaft and a great, finished look too.

As for the flavored beverages, be careful around Strawberry Jill, as she can and will put a hurt on unsuspecting victims. Life insurance would be a great idea. Cheer leading? Not her style. Abuse? More her style.

Zimm, get her glued together. I look forward to meeting you at the lake.

No more projects? HA :propeller:

Actually the boat is back from the mechanic- imco lower has a new o-ring, shorter bolts, and pressure tested good. Just need to change the motor oil and she's ready for the water.

With that being said, I'm installing a new battery shelf today. My old one was made out of starboard plastic and was bowed so bad the batteries were touching. I don't know how the nylon hold downs lasted through my last poker run. I have 3/4" plywood, resin coated, and now the second layer of bilgecoat is drying. Then I bolt that in with my new stainless marine battery hold downs.

The only other project I want to attempt is my new dash panel and gauges...if Nisonger marine ever sends me the panel.

After that, I promise I'll stop. Whipple is staying on the work bench for now :frown:
