Recently bought 2000 18' classic. I have had several boats in the past ranging from 15 to 24. all have had bow cleats to tie anchor line to.any recommendations to anchor an 18 classic.

I got my self one of those ss locking hooks (like what they use in mountain climbing) and hook the ancor to the eye you pull your boat on the trailer with..

Am I missing something? Tie your line to the lifting ring OR ADD a bow cleat...

I use what Mrfixxall does or I tie the line directly to the bow ring (for the trailer strap) or the transom (tie-down) rings.

I've never liked tying to cleats because I don't like the line rubbing on the gelcoat.

I concur. Tie the anchor line to the bow eye. Coming up and over to the lifting ring doesn't make sense to me.

Don't anchor. Keep moving. These boats weren't designed to set still. :eek!:
