Probably should of asked this question 20 min ago before I hit the "buy it now" button.

Does anybody have the Garmin GPSMAP 60?

Do you like it?

I've been wanting a handheld since my speedo never works and think it would be cool to plot the shallows in some of the places I run. Did allot of researching on OSO, Speedwake, and here and it seems that most are sold on Garmin. Was looking at the 76 and the 60 on eBay. Hope I bought the right one....

It is a good unit. I prefer the color units. The map 60C or map 60CX

It's just monochrome. Never had one before so couldn't really see spending the money for color.

yea, you did good. I have a 60 csx and it's the best handheld I have ever owned. Here's a cool website all about gps's where you can learn tricks & settings that are not in the instruction manual. Also, when getting accessories check amazon.com for prices. Most of the time they are better than anyone else.

Another shot for Garmin! I had my hand held for over 5 years before it finally bit the dust, when I say bit the dust it was the display that died from to much sun. None the less it was a great piece and saved my bacon a few times.
