Hi all
Her is the??
Will I or can I gain any speed Just by changing my prop
From aluminum to stainless?
I think this is done by running more pitch with the stainless than aluminum?
19’ Donzi stock sbc Volvo drive. 2600, lb
What can I expect?

Hi Shea
I have not taken delivery yet! Just planning ahead.
I am looking for general performance gains st ver al.
I think a ss prop might be faster with the same pitch, more efficient!
But will I lose rpm and thus speed

Usually you will gain about 100 rpm going over to S/S, the blades are thinner and much stronger then aluminum. You will try several props before you achieve the best boat speed & handling, many times boats of the same size & power will not get the same results. Lots of trial and error!! One real nice thing about aluminum is if you hit something your chances of damage are greatly reduced as the aluminum will bend or break far more easily then an S/S. But very few of us run aluminum as we all want the last bit!!
